Ella meets a funny ground squirrel in the sunny meadow today! 🌾🐿️ Ground squirrels stand on their back legs like tiny guards and whistle loudly when they see danger. 👀🛎️ Before winter, they eat a lot to store fat — not in cupboards, but in their tummies! 🍂😋 And when it’s cold outside, they curl up in their warm burrows and sleep for almost six months. 💤❄️

Ella meets a little mole in the meadow today! 🌾🐾 Moles have soft black fur and live underground like tiny miners. ⛏️🖤 They can’t see very well, but their sense of smell is amazing! 👃✨ They dig tunnels and make little hills to let fresh air into their burrows. 🕳️🍃
